Checklist for Residents

• All small / loose items such as lamps, ornaments, books, videos, crockery, mirrors, pictures, toys etc must be packed securely into boxes.
• Drawers, wardrobes and cupboards should be emptied / cleaned.
• Dismantle any furnishings where required.
• Highly polished wooden furniture, glass or leather furnishings should be covered for protection in transit. (Bubble wrap is available).
• Electrical equipment such as TV's, Stereos, and IT equipment should be unplugged and packed into boxes where possible.
• All fridges and freezers should be emptied and defrosted.
• For Health & Safety reasons please ensure children and pets are not at home at the time of the move and that a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 2 adult representatives of the household are present throughout the move.
• Remember to check all rooms including spare rooms, attics, sheds etc. before the transportation of your goods for items which may have been left behind in error.
• Gas and electrical appliances should be disconnected.  Please arrange for these by a qualified practitioner**
• Soft furnishings such as mattresses and sofa's should be covered for protection (Polythene covers are available).
• All valuables such as jewellery, money, bank details, credit cards, etc. should be taken care of yourself.  We recommend that you keep these items on you whilst the move is being carried out to avoid anything being mislaid.
• It would assist us greatly if you could secure the parking space immediately outside your property for approximately 40ft of vehicle space on your moving day.

GOODS NOT TO BE SUBMITTED FOR REMOVAL

1. Prohibited or Stolen Goods, potentially dangerous, damaging or explosives. Including Gas bottles, Aerosols, Paints, Firearms or Ammunition.

2. Refrigerated or Frozen Food or Drinks.

3. Any Animals including Pets, Birds or Fish.

MASTER MOVES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING:

1. Take up or lay down carpets or flooring.

2.Take down or put up curtains or blinds.

3. Dismantle or assemble furnishings and fitments.

4. Take down or fit wall fitments, pictures or shelving.
